Yes! The best way to discover what sets Horizon apart is to experience it first hand. Students 5th grade and up are invited to be a ‘Hawk for a Day’ where they will be paired with host student, attending classes and other activities that happen during a school day.

Horizon offers bus service with stops in Mosier, The Dalles, Lyle, and the Bingen Park and Ride. For more information on schedule and fees, Visit our Bus Service page.

Our well-coached Horizon Hawks soccer, cross country, basketball, track and field, and golf teams are frequent contenders for division titles at the 1A – OSAA level. Horizon Christian School seeks students who will enjoy and benefit from an environment that focuses on a high academic standard and where spiritual growth is encouraged. Horizon admits students who exhibit values and goals consistent with our mission and vision: to educate students for the glory of God, to demonstrate spiritual and academic excellence, to model the Christian life, and to enrich the community we serve. Students seeking admission are evaluated on the basis of their report cards, references, admission questionnaires, interviews, and potential to perform satisfactorily at Horizon Christian School.

Admission Process

Families should be committed in their desire to enroll before submitting an application. While the application does not guarantee enrollment, it provides the best opportunity for enrolling in grades with limited space.

Families in the application process for admission to Horizon Christian are required to complete the admission and registration process within two weeks of receiving notification of acceptance and/or a tuition assistance award. If not, we’ll release the spot and monies to other individuals.

Horizon Christian School uses the ‘Wait-Pool’ model for each grade level after classroom capacity has been reached. To be added to our Wait Pool, applications must be submitted in their entirety. You will receive communication if your student has been placed in the Wait Pool. Students will remain in the Wait Pool until a spot becomes available, at which point you will be contacted to proceed to the next steps.
