Pre-Kindergarten
Horizon Christian Pre-Kindergarten staff has worked to develop a caring, enriching, Godly environment for children. To submit an application, click on link below. Enrollment instructions are included in the packet.
Classes and Age Requirements
Three Pre-kindergarten options are offered:
- Tuesday/Thursday: He/She must be three years of age by September 1 and be fully potty trained and socially/emotionally ready.
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday: He/she must be four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year.
- Monday through Friday: He/she must be four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year.
Goals
- To give each child an enjoyable introduction to school
- To present phonics and math concepts in a variety of ways that allow each child to learn within his or her ability
- To assist each child in learning the alphabet, corresponding letter sounds, and the basics of reading
Our family loves Horizon’s pre-k. There is no better way to introduce children to school, than being able to integrate their faith into it, too. They have library and music class like the big kids, and spend much of their day learning by playing. Horizon’s pre-k effectively teaches kids academics, social skills, and helps kids grow in their faith. At Horizon, the staff embodies Jesus’ heart; “let the little children come to me” (Matt. 19:14).
